Integrated Logistics Support
ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) is a methodology which has the main goal of optimising and extending assets’ life cycles. It is aimed towards ensuring the full functionality of systems by means of increasing availability and decreasing life cycle costs. For this, an in-depth assessment of the system is made via studies and analyses, such as RAMS and FMECA, and by designing a support system based on given circumstances and operating conditions.

CIT
The Configuration Item Tree is the hierarchical breakdown of a system, down to it’s most basic repairable components.

FMECA
Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis, or FMECA for short, allows the easy identification of failure modes expected within a system, as well as being able to evaluate the criticality of each case. Alongside this, it is possible to pinpoint critical failure modes and critical elements.

RCM
RCM, or Reliability Centred Maintenance, studies and defines maintenance tasks which reduce the risk of failures from happening, or softening the negative effects of said instances.

MTA
Maintenance Tasks Analysis. Initial maintenance plan, associated work loads, initial required spare parts, tools and consumables prevision.

LORA
Level of Repair Analysis. Assignment of tasks based on provided separate maintenance levels.

RAMS
Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Supportability, as the acronym implies, studies these parameters within a system.
